Privacy policy

Who is responsible

Cronode, legal ID 3-101-950341, based in San José, Costa Rica, is responsible for the personal data collected on cronode.org.

For any question about this policy, you can write to info@cronode.org.

What data we collect

In the contact form, the booking calendar and the guide request, we collect the data you enter:

• Your name and, if you provide it, your company name.
• Email address and phone number.
• Your message, the topics you are interested in and, in the booking calendar, the date and time you choose.
• If you request the free guide, only your email address.

For security, the server records the IP address and date of each submission, to limit abuse and detect automated submissions.

In addition, usage data is collected while you browse the website through analytics tools, as explained in the cookies and analytics section.

What we use it for

We use this data only to answer your inquiry, schedule and hold the meeting you requested, and follow up on that conversation.

We use the email you leave for the guide to send it to you automatically right away. We only write to you again if you ask us to.

We do not use it to send mass advertising, and we do not sell, rent or transfer it to third parties.

Who it is shared with

To provide the service, we rely on providers that process the data on our behalf:

• Zoho Mail, our email service, which delivers form messages to info@cronode.org and sends the guide to whoever requests it.
• Google Calendar and Google Meet: when you book a meeting, an event is created in our calendar with your name, email, phone and what you wrote, and Google sends you the invitation with the video call link.
• Discord: every contact form message, booked meeting and guide request is also posted to an internal channel of our team on Discord, with the same data, so we can reply faster. Discord processes this data on servers outside Costa Rica.

These providers have their own privacy policies. Outside these cases, we would only share data if a competent authority requires it by law.

Google data

This website connects to Google Calendar with a Cronode account to check whether our schedule is free or busy and to create meeting events. People who book a meeting do not grant access to their own Google accounts.

Cronode’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to understand how the website is used, measure the results of our campaigns and improve our content.

These tools store cookies in your browser and collect usage data: pages visited, links and buttons you click, forms you start or submit, language, device and browser type, approximate location and IP address. Cronode does not send them your name, email, phone number or the text you write in the forms.

Google processes this data under its privacy policy. Google Analytics cookies, such as _ga, last up to two years.

Meta processes this data under its privacy policy and may use it to measure ads and show advertising to people who visited the website. The _fbp cookie lasts up to 90 days.

You can delete or block these cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and manage how your activity is used in the ad preferences of your Meta account. The website keeps working without them.

Fonts are hosted on this website; they are not loaded from third-party services.

The contact page displays a selection of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok posts hosted on this website. The gallery does not load content from those platforms; their policies apply when you open a post through its link.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and meeting data for as long as they are needed to handle your request and maintain the business relationship. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Technical server logs are kept only for as long as needed for security purposes.

Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics for the period set in that tool, which does not exceed 14 months.

Your rights

Under Costa Rica’s Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data, you can access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent.

To exercise these rights, write to info@cronode.org from the email address you used to contact us. We handle your request as soon as possible and within the period set by law.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection, validates data on the server and limits the number of submissions. The credentials of the services we use are not exposed on the website.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
